Assistant Controller

What will you be doing?

·         Checks and reconciles General Ledger accounts and bank statements

·         Maintains mainframe computer and network including troubleshooting and installation of new programs and/ or updates.

·         Schedules and follows through on monthly House Bank audits.

·         Assists in preparing forecasts and budgets.

·         Prepares monthly financial statements, journal entries, accruals, and all accounting books.

·         Performs other duties and responsibilities asked by Controller based upon department needs.

·         Supervises staff in compiling month- end closing reports. Oversees preparation of monthly forecast and variance reports and visually reviews for accuracy.

·         Calculates and produces daily deposit transmittals for checks received.

·         Assumes duties of Controller in his/her absence.

What do you bring to the role?

·         Four year college degree required, preferably in Hotel Management.

·         Good working knowledge of Hospitality accounting systems.

·         Strong working knowledge of computer systems/programs such as PeopleSoft, Excel, etc.

·         Good interpersonal skills with verbal and written communication skills.

·         Good supervisory skills.
