What will you be doing?
- Follow recipes, memorize production specifications, and ensure proper food presentation and cooking methods.
- Cook menu items to guest specifications, maintaining portion sizes and quality standards.
- Label, date, and store prepared food and raw ingredients properly, monitoring for spoilage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in line with health department and chef standards.
- Communicate any needs, shortages, or issues to the chef or supervisor promptly.
- Set up and close the kitchen station efficiently, assisting team members as needed.
- Adapt to business volume changes and assist with workload management when possible.
- Prepare portions for staff meals and maintain a professional appearance at all times
What do you bring to the role?
- High school diploma or GED preferred; previous line cook experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in knife handling, basic prep functions, and cooking procedures.
- Strong manual dexterity to operate kitchen tools and equipment.
- Physically able to lift up to 100 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in confined, noisy environments with temperature extremes.
- Ability to obtain required licenses or certifications for food service and sanitation.
- General knowledge of kitchen equipment and food products; open to learning all stations.
- Effective communicator with supervisors and team members; team-oriented.
- Capable of multitasking, managing long hours, and handling high-stress situations professionally.
- Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
