What You'll Do
As a Banquet Set-Up Supervisor, you'll lead the preparation and execution of event setups while ensuring banquet spaces are organized, safe, and guest-ready.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervise and assist banquet set-up associates during event setup, breakdown, and room resets
- Ensure banquet rooms are set according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), room diagrams, and client specifications
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure meeting and event spaces meet Hyatt standards
- Coordinate room turnovers and setup timelines to support seamless event execution
- Train, coach, and support banquet set-up associates
- Monitor banquet equipment, storage areas, and inventory for cleanliness and organization
- Ensure tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, risers, and other equipment are properly maintained and stored
- Communicate effectively with Banquets, Events, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments
- Promote safe work practices and proper equipment handling procedures
- Identify maintenance concerns and coordinate follow-up as needed
- Assist with special projects and large-scale event setups
- Provide hands-on leadership and support during high-volume event periods
- Attend department meetings and assist with other duties as assigned

Ideal candidates will have:
- Previous banquet, hospitality, event operations, facilities, or setup experience preferred
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and room diagrams
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
