What you will be doing
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines for hotel restaurants, banquets, and special events.
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following HACCP guidelines, proper food handling procedures, and cleanliness requirements throughout all kitchen operations.
Assist with food preparation and station setup, including ingredient preparation, inventory rotation, stocking supplies, and ensuring readiness for service periods.
Collaborate with chefs and kitchen team members to ensure efficient production, timely service, and consistent guest satisfaction while supporting daily operational needs.
Monitor product quality and kitchen equipment, reporting maintenance concerns, minimizing food waste, and contributing to a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
Position Requirements
Previous culinary experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, banquet, or commercial kitchen environment, with demonstrated proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling, storage, temperature controls, and adherence to health department regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality, consistency, and attention to detail during peak service periods.
Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with chefs, kitchen staff, and other hotel departments.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business demands require.
