In this vital leadership role, you’ll oversee the administration of accounting operations, ensure the timely and accurate production of financial statements, analyze financial performance, and champion the implementation of best practices. As a key member of the Executive Committee, you’ll also play an integral role in shaping strategic decisions that drive the success and legacy of our hotel.

What you will be doing:

  • Serve as a strategic financial partner, offering creative solutions to improve business performance.
  • Hire, lead, and develop an effective accounting team across key functions (AP, AR, payroll, audit, etc.).
  • Deliver accurate, timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement and uphold accounting procedures aligned with company standards and regulatory guidelines (Marcus Ways, SOX, US GAAP).
  • Maintain and safeguard accurate financial records.
  • Ensure proper controls and procedures to protect company assets.
  • Partner with Central Accounting to adapt policies to evolving business needs.
  • Lead annual budgeting and capital planning processes.
  • Provide operational analysis to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with property and Central Accounting teams to resolve financial issues promptly.

What we are looking for: 

  • Previous property controller and management experience, preferably 5-7 years within a multi-site, high-volume, hospitality company. 
  • Four-year accounting degree required. CPA designation desired.
  • Superior leadership, management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to make connections across departments and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong analysis and problem identification/resolution skills.
  • A meticulous eye for detail.
  • Represent company in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work required hours in order to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer hardware and software applications.
  • Ability to travel as required, approximately 10%.

Estimated Salary: $105,000-$115,000/Year
