Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for over 130 years. Hosting Afternoon Tea in our beautiful Lobby Lounge is one of our most beloved traditions, providing guests with a refined and memorable experience.
What you will be doing:
· Warmly greet and welcome guests attending Afternoon Tea, setting the tone for a gracious and memorable experience.
· Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortably seated with menus and introduced to their server.
· Manage reservations and coordinate seating to ensure smooth service flow and exceptional guest satisfaction.
· Provide knowledgeable and courteous information about Afternoon Tea service, including menu items and traditions.
· Assist in maintaining a clean, elegant, and organized service area throughout the shift.
· Support the Afternoon Tea team with guest needs and provide seamless communication between guests and service staff.
· Handle guest inquiries with professionalism and provide recommendations about The Pfister Hotel amenities and services.
· Perform other duties as assigned to enhance the guest experience.
Position Requirements:
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional demeanor.
· Previous hospitality or guest service experience preferred, ideally in a luxury or fine dining environment.
· Ability to anticipate guest needs and deliver service with warmth, grace, and attention to detail.
· Availability to work weekends and holidays, as Afternoon Tea is offered seasonally and during peak times.
· Must adhere to the Local 122 Collective Bargaining Agreement regulations, with the option to obtain union membership after 90 days of employment.
Job Type: Full-Time, Union Position
Hourly Rate: $17.10/hr
