We are seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor who will oversee daily housekeeping operations and ensure the highest of standards are upheld.
Part of the Milwaukee-based Marcus Hotels & Resorts portfolio, HOTEL PASEO offers guests a distinctive desert retreat featuring 150 thoughtfully designed guest rooms and suites, many showcasing breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountains and palm-lined landscape. Guests can unwind by our resort-style pool and on-site spa, explore the area on complimentary bicycles, and enjoy inspired dining at Larkspur Grill, Lemon Drop Pool Bar or Café Paseo. Located along world-renowned El Paseo, our boutique hotel places guests steps from premier shopping, art galleries, acclaimed restaurants, and vibrant nightlife while serving as the perfect gateway to Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley.
What will you be doing?
- Supervise housekeeping staff and oversee daily cleaning operations.
- Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure quality and cleanliness standards.
- Assign daily work schedules and monitor room status updates.
- Manage key issuance and inventory at the start and end of shifts.
- Support safety programs, conduct training, and complete accident reports.
- Handle supply requisitions, Lost and Found, and maintain professional standards.
- Answer phones professionally and respond promptly to all requests.
- Foster positive guest and associate relations through courteous and efficient service.
- Other duties as assigned.
What do you bring to the role?
- Previous housekeeping management and clerical experience with knowledge of all procedures.
- High school diploma required; Bi-Lingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Strong supervisory skills to develop, retain, and lead a quality team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage staff performance.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in technology, including email, internet, and spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, materials, and safety procedures.
- Physically able to inspect all hotel areas, including standing, bending, and lifting. Dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule based on business demands.
