Night Auditor

As a Night Auditor at The Pfister Hotel, you will be responsible for welcoming and assisting guests during overnight hours while ensuring the accuracy of daily financial records for all hotel outlets.
Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for nearly 130 years. As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for 46 consecutive years. The hotel is one of only 11 properties throughout North America to maintain the AAA Four Diamond designation since the inception of the Diamond Rating program in 1976.
What you will be doing:
• Greet and register guests with a warm and professional demeanor, ensuring a smooth overnight check-in experience.
• Perform guest transactions, answer telephone inquiries, process reservations, and provide courteous service throughout the night.
• Balance and reconcile daily revenue from rooms, spa, restaurants, and bars.
• Back up computer systems, reindex data files, and ensure all records are accurate and secure.
• Deposit all credit card transactions and process no-shows, charges, and cancellations.
• Maintain accurate cash control, balancing drawers and ensuring deposits are made according to policy.
• Monitor safety, security, and cleanliness of the front desk and lobby areas overnight.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness and resolve any issues.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism, escalating when necessary.
• Complete required shift reports and checklists.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Front Office and Accounting teams.
Position Requirements:
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Thorough understanding of basic math and accounting procedures.
• Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and use sound judgment while managing multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
• Previous hospitality, customer service, or accounting experience preferred.
