If so, The Pfister is looking for a part time Public Area Attendant to be a part of our team and continue its iconic legacy. Our Public Area Attendants Keep our main lobby and common areas pristine and well-kept. The focus of this role is to ensure that all public areas are maintained, such as keeping the bathrooms and coffee stations stocked and refreshed.

Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for nearly 130 years. As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for 46 consecutive years. The hotel is one of only 11 properties throughout North America to maintain the AAA Four Diamond designation since the inception of the Diamond Rating program in 1976.

What will you be doing?

  • Greet all guests with a positive attitude.
  • Promote excellent guest/associate rapport by completing all requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously. 
  • Clean and maintain all assigned areas including lobby, exterior of building, parking ramp, restaurant, spa, bathrooms, stairwells, pool, fitness center, and elevators in accordance with the established standards of cleanliness.
  • Maintain all floor/carpet/doormat care needs within the hotel.
  • Ensure all supplies are in place.
  • Participate in the promotion of safety and security in assigned work areas.
  • Perform all other related duties and special projects as requested and/or assigned.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Previous cleaning, maintenance, housekeeping or janitorial experienced helpful 
  • Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner.
  • Ability to use all cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, stretch, and use a vacuum and push a cart on a regular and extended basis.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
