Security Officer

Marcus Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Security Officer to be part of our team as we expand our portfolio. Our newest addition, The Lofton Hotel, will be a downtown Minneapolis, full-service, $15M revenue property that is the first hotel in the Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Minnesota. The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the protection and safety of the guests, staff, and property.

What you will be doing: 

·       Patrols premises on foot to include guestroom floors, meeting space, back of the house areas, public areas, stairwells, parking ramp, and surface lot.

·       Meets, greets and assists guests and associates.

·       Writes incident report and nightly shift report.

·       Maintains safety of guests and associates.

·       Protects property and company assets.

·       Witnesses Cash Drops.

·       Assists in other areas when needed.

·       Confirm doors are secured during required times and unlocked as scheduled

·       3^rd shift delivery of amenities as requested by guests and collection of breakfast door hangers and room service trays.

·       Enforces noise ordinance.

·       Works with MOD to address situations involving guests and/or associates.

·       Other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for: 

·       Prior hospitality, guest service and/or security experience preferred.

·       Ability to read/write in English.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·       Excellent interpersonal skills.
