Security Supervisor

As a Security Supervisor at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you play an integral part in ensuring the hotel guests, associates, and hotel property are maintained in a safe and secure environment and tasks are completed in accordance to established standards.

What will you be doing?
· Ensure all security personnel functions are being properly completed by the department
· Ensures that all personnel are properly assigned at all times
· Review all reports completed by security officers to ensure accuracy and timely submission
· Maintain a good relationship with all departments in the hotel
· Ensures that a thorough and complete investigation and report is made on incidents incurred by guests and associates
· Responsible for guest room surveillance in conjunction with Security Director
· Ensure that all phases of the key control program are maintained and any discrepancies noted are investigated thoroughly and reported to the Security Director
· Ensures all security equipment (walkie-talkies, radios, cameras, etc.) is kept clean and in good working condition
· Monitors all traffic in the lobby area and restaurant, restrooms, garage area, and room service area to control non-guest an/or associate access
· Reports all associates using unauthorized hotel entrance/exits when reporting to or leaving work to the Security Director
· Patrol all areas and be a visible deterrent
· Perform other duties as assigned.
What do you bring to the role?
· Prior experience in security, military, or EMS preferred. Knowledge of security and law enforcement practices is a plus.
· Previous experience preferred in a security supervisory role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
· Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Background Screening following Company Policy.
· Knowledge of local laws and ordinances.
· Exceptional people skills, customer service mentality and strong writing & logical thinking abilities.
· Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and the public.
· Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for extended periods.
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including overnight, weekends and holidays.
· Must be computer literate.
