Assistant Housekeeper Manager

As an Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you will assist with the overall operation and management of the Housekeeping department.

What you will be doing:
- Supervise housekeeping associates to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and job performance meet departmental standards.
- Assist in daily operations, act as manager on duty, and handle administrative tasks, including reports and Lost and Found duties.
- Train and counsel associates, including conducting performance appraisals and administering discipline as needed.
- Inspect and evaluate work performance to maintain quality and operational standards.
- Perform manual tasks as needed to cover staff shortages and ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Promote safety, security, and professionalism while maintaining standards for conduct, hygiene, and appearance.
- Foster guest and associate satisfaction by promptly addressing requests, issues, and concerns.
- Attend meetings, represent the hotel with professionalism, and recommend improvements to enhance operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, college education in related field preferred.
- Previous housekeeping supervisory experience of at least 1 year preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload to ensure deadlines are met
- Ability to exercise judgment and implement control over the performance of others.
- Ability to provide clear direction, instruction, and guidance to subordinates.
- Ability to communicate effectively to associates, Bi-Lingual a plus.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays, while maintaining professionalism and physical stamina for inspections.
- Understands reports and related correspondence and accurately performs all essential job functions.

Salary Estimate: $42,000-$52,000/year
