Asst Grand Cafe Manager
Exciting Opportunity to join the talented Food & Beverage management team at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa! Join our team and be a part of something very special. You will be responsible for supervising/managing and overseeing the following departments Grand Café, Café Gelato, In-Room Dining, Lobby Lounge, and Pool Bar.
Essential Functions
- Provide leadership to departments to achieve their goals and objectives.
- Communicate goals and objectives effectively and inspire employees to achieve those goals.
- Sell concepts and ideas to management, peers and employees.
- Instill guest service attitude in all employees.
- Fully understands the menu and wine list. From the standpoint of ingredients and preparation of the dishes to the delivery and service expected to accompany the dish.
- Direct and consistent communication with the culinary and management team.
- Listens to and resolves customer complaints regarding service, product and personnel.
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the food and beverage outlets including scheduling, cost control, guest relations and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Requires a minimum of 1 year restaurant and supervisory experience.
- Ability to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
