What You’ll Do
As a Banquet Captain, you will lead banquet operations and ensure events run smoothly from start to finish.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervise and support banquet staff during event setup, service, and breakdown
- Ensure banquet rooms are set according to event orders and standards
- Oversee food and beverage service to ensure quality and consistency
- Communicate with event contacts to ensure expectations are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces and storage areas
- Monitor inventory and ensure necessary supplies are available
- Assist with scheduling based on event needs and labor guidelines
- Process banquet billing and ensure accuracy
- Communicate effectively with managers and other departments
- Ensure team members follow service standards, policies, and procedures
- Provide leadership during events and resolve issues as they arise
- Support training and development of banquet staff
- Attend department meetings and assist with other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a strong leader who is organized, reliable, and guest-focused.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Prior banquet server experience required
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to guest needs
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. with or without accommodation
