If so, The Pfister is looking for a Café Cook Level II  to join our Café Kitchen team and continue its tradition of excellence.
 

As a Café Cook at The Pfister Hotel, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to order, supporting the café team, and ensuring that every dish meets our standards of quality, freshness, and presentation.

Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for nearly 130 years. As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for 46 consecutive years. The hotel is one of only 11 properties throughout North America to maintain the AAA Four Diamond designation since the inception of the Diamond Rating program in 1976.

What you will be doing:

·         Prepare and cook all station-specific items such as sandwiches, salads, soups, and entrées.

·         Maintain portion control and consistency across all dishes served in the café.

·         Assist with ordering, receiving, and storing food products for the café kitchen.

·         Ensure all equipment is sanitized and in working condition.

·         Collaborate with café servers and managers to ensure smooth service.

·         Support banquet or hotel-wide events with café-style menu items as needed.

Position Requirements:

·         1–2 years of professional cooking experience required in a café, casual dining, or hotel kitchen.

·         Manual dexterity and proficiency with kitchen tools including knives, slicers, and fryers.

·         Ability to work efficiently in a busy, open-kitchen café environment.

·         High school diploma or GED preferred; culinary training a plus.

·         Strong English communication skills required.

Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly (Union)

Pay Range: $17.89 - $19.52 per hour (based on experience)
