As an Engineer I at Grand Geneva, you will maintain optimal hotel operations by promptly addressing guest and associate maintenance requests, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all building systems and equipment function efficiently.

What will you be doing?
- Foster excellent guest/associate rapport by promptly addressing requests.
- Perform daily shift reports including documenting all calls in the Engineer’s log, monitoring and closing out calls.
- Adhere to all OSHA standards and procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all furniture, fixtures and equipment throughout the interior and exterior of the hotel and in guest rooms.
- Assist in cost control: Heat, Power, Light, Sewer and Water and provide recommendations for improved methods and procedures.
- Troubleshoot, repair and or maintain the following:
- All building and FF&E
- HVAC; Heating, Ventilation, Air conditioning, and Refrigeration equipment
- Electrical systems
- Mechanical equipment, i.e. motors, starters, pumps, fans, generators and chillers
- Plumbing and drains
- Pneumatic and electronic systems and controls
- Perform other duties and complete special projects as assigned.
What do you bring to the role?
- High school diploma or trade school degree, plus 1-2 years’ hands-on experience in maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.).
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
- Physical stamina for demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently and see all projects through.
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
