Job Description
JOB TITLE Banquet Server
DEPARTMENT Banquets
SUPERVISOR Banquet Manager
POSITION PURPOSE Assist in the maintenance and coordination of Banquet rooms by providing the necessary food and beverage service, set-up, upkeep, break down, and cleaning functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Set up tables with china, silverware, and other service equipment and break down assigned banquet rooms according to contract and Managers instructions
2. Prepare work areas such as coffee stations and bread stations prior to function
3. Service of food and beverages to guests.
4. Handle guest requests or receive assistance from Manager/Supervisor.
5. Communicate frequently with Manager/Supervisor as to the progress of the days work.
6. Maintain cleanliness of Banquet rooms, public areas, and storage areas.
7. Maintain inventory of necessary supplies.
8. Maintain the Pfister's high standards of quality and service.
9. Performs other duties as assigned per Manager.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
1. Ability to comprehend English in order to receive instructions from managers and guests.
2. Ability to respond quickly and accurately to guest requests.
3. Ability to work well with others.
4. Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently.
5. Ability to lift 30 lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation.
6. Prior restaurant and/or banquet serving experience preferred.
7. Must join H.E.R.E. Local 122 union.
