General Manager

Miller Time Pub is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our team and ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the restaurant, from maintaining cleanliness and food quality to providing top-notch service that meets hotel standards. The ideal candidate will enhance our reputation for prestigious service, drive guest satisfaction, and foster a positive work environment.
What you will be doing?
- Interview, select, train, supervise, and mentor restaurant staff, fostering teamwork and morale
- Interact positively with guests, promote hotel services, resolve customer issues, and organize special events, ensuring memorable experiences.
- Monitor food quality and service standards, conducting regular checks on preparation methods and product appearance to maintain consistency.
- Maintain profitability by controlling payroll and equipment costs, managing inventory, and implementing effective cash handling techniques.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are upheld in all areas.
- Maintain an appropriate level of staffing to meet departmental responsibilities.
- Assess employee performance, maintain accurate records, and implement sales promotions and incentive programs to drive results.
What we are looking for:
- Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with beverage operations, including wine varieties and labels.
- Proficiency in mathematical concepts for tracking inventory and financial statements.
- Ability to stand and move throughout the restaurant and kitchen for extended periods.
- Experience handling customer interactions with patience and diplomacy.
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred but not necessary with relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a fine dining or steakhouse environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and POS systems.
