Position Description – Loyalty Program Analyst

 

Broad Description of Duties:

 

The Loyalty Program Analyst is responsible for delivering tactical member insights that help drive the loyalty program, marketing, and overall business strategy.

 

The Loyalty Program Analyst will assist in providing a holistic view of the Marcus Theatre customer. The analyst will help define the member lifecycle, identify campaign triggers, perform member segmentations, and suggest improvements, while also functioning as a liaison between Marketing and Information Technology (IT), and to ensure relevant member data is captured and accessible for reporting and analysis and strategies to increase member frequency and per visit spend.

 

The Loyalty Program Analyst will also assist in the production of loyalty marketing emails including customizing content based on past member behavior, set-up, audience selection, testing and post promotion analysis and reporting.

 

This position reports to the Loyalty Program Director.

 

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

 

  • Responsible for the development of standardized member reporting and communicate statistical and accounting data into simplified, actionable formats;
  • Responsible for producing member data reports and utilize key insights and implications generated from those reports;
  • Analyze all published reports for credibility, consistency, and adherence to established business processes and rules. Interpret results and offer summary insights, conclusions, and recommendations as appropriate;
  • Support the management of a format and full-circle methodology for gathering, calculating, distributing and archiving data;
  • Assist with the day-to-day operation, data extracts/loads and efficiency of the loyalty marketing database(s);
  • Leverage database(s) and provide reports on transaction activity (i.e. frequency, CPP, APP, purchase behavior, movie genre);
  • Analyze market tests within all channels (direct, email, mobile), providing results, conclusions, and recommendations;
  • Support the management of the loyalty database update process, monitor the delivery of data inputs, database, data enhancement processes, and data integrity;
  • Assist in the creation of customer segmentations specific to loyalty;
  • Loyalty member email marketing - Assist in the creation and management of loyalty promotions and automated campaigns, including promotion setup, testing and post-promotion analysis;
  • Create members audience lists for promotions and assist in the set-up of emails to account for variances in theatre offerings (movies, food & beverage);
  • Perform other such duties as may be assigned by the Loyalty Program Director;

Job Requirements:

 

  • Willing and motivated to learn new skills, tasks, and software systems to meet the changing demands of the industry;
  • Strong analytical skills and proficient with financial analysis;
  • Ability to quantify marketing related data;
  • Functional SQL skills preferred;
  • Ability and preference to undertake action-oriented and self-motivated projects;
  • Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, and draw valid conclusions;
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word;
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
  • Experience in database marketing within a multi-channel retail or travel/leisure environment is preferred;
  • CRM, loyalty marketing, direct marketing and/or relationship marketing background is preferred;
  • Experience within the entertainment industry would be beneficial, but not required;
  • Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to all levels of the organization;
  • Talent for developing strong working relationships both inside and outside of the organization;
  • Passionate about delivering a positive, consistent member experience at all touch points;
  • Travel to theatre locations for loyalty program monitoring and manager meetings (10% travel required);

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.  The employee is required to stand, and/or walk occasionally.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Work is performed in an office environment with occasional travel and theatre environment.  The noise level is usually low to moderate with an occasional loud environment. Educational Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Finance, Marketing or equivalent experience in an analytical field is required;
