Position Description – Maintenance

 

Broad Description of Duties:

 

The Maintenance candidate is responsible for the general maintenance and repair work. He/she will provide general building maintenance.

 

This position reports to a member of the theatre management team or General Manager. 

 

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

 

  • Provides general building maintenance;
  • Connects with vendor and theatre management to report and fix or replace faulty electrical switches, outlets, and circuit breakers;
  • Inspect and diagnose problems and figures out the best way to correct them;
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly;
  • Assemble and set up machinery or equipment;
  • Plan repair work with theatre management and outside vendors;
  • Do general cleaning and upkeep of building, including outside maintenance;
  • Advises theatre management on supply orders needed;
  • Keeps detailed records of work performed;
  • Assist with the overall needs as directed by theatre management team or General Manager

Job Requirements:

 

  • Possess strong interpersonal,  mechanical, and time management skills;

·         Flexible and accessible work schedule that includes late evenings, weekends and holidays as dictated by business needs;

·         Must be able to work up to 20 hours per week;

·         Must be available during early morning hours to perform repairs;

·         The ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, team environment;

·         Have a passion for delivering unparalleled hospitality and service

 

 

Physical Requirements:

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.  The employee is required to stand, and/or walk occasionally.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

Work is performed in an office and theatre environment.  The noise level is usually moderate to high with an occasional loud environment. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. Education Required:

 

·         No minimum education required

·         Previous shop courses a plus
