Sales Coordinator
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Assists Sales and Catering sales managers in all facets of the sales/marketing/service process by typing, copying, faxing, mailing, distributing and filing related correspondence as well as answering and responding appropriately to incoming telephone calls.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Enters data to produce contracts, correspondence, forms, memorandums, STS and OnQ management system updates, and other documents.
2. Answers telephone and responds to caller inquiries. Exercises decision-making skills to direct callers based on requests. Accurately records and distributes messages. Communicates with other hotel associates to relay pertinent sales related information.
3. Organizes, files, distributes, faxes, and other essential functions necessary in the daily department operation.
4. Act’s as liaison between Sales and Catering Manager(s) and clients in Sales and Catering Manager's absence.
5. Relieves receptionist at lunch and off days as needed, and performs supportive functions during the absence of other sales and catering assistants.
6. Knowledgeable of brand standards, service standards, SALT expectations.
MANDITORY JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Good communication skills, both written and oral.
2. Excellent organizational skill, multitasking skill.
3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
4. Ability to input data into a word processor at a minimum rate of 40 w.p.m.
5. Basic secretarial knowledge such as business letters, formats, and telephone etiquette.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED:
Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, typing, and communication skills and abilities. High school diploma required. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
