We are in search of a Stewarding Supervisor 2nd Shift to join our Grand team at our 1,300 acre Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Recognized as a Top Resort in the Midwest by Conde Nast Traveler, this award-winning, all-seasons destination features over 746 guest accommodations, the WELL Spa & Salon, two championship golf courses, fitness facilities, a ski hill and terrain park, and 9 unique food and beverage outlets.

What will you be doing?

·       Supervises the stewarding department in the absence of management. Is responsible for giving various staff members to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

  • Is able to perform duties of all positions in the department
  • Understands and supervises proper use of all chemicals and cleaning equipment
  • Effectively trains new associates in all positions
  • Delegates daily work assignments and responsibilities
  • Communicates effectively with staff and other departments
  • Completes daily opening and closing checklists and performs safety and sanitation inspections
  • Drives resort catering truck, pickups, and golf carts both on resort property, in city, and on highway
  • Support any member of the dishwashing and service staff when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?

·       Prior stewarding experience and or supervisory experience required. Prior hospitality experience preferred.

  • Ability to obtain any state required licenses or certificates. Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain Serve Safe certification.
  • Ability to tolerate varied working conditions. Work area may be humid and wet. Temperatures sufficient to cause bodily discomfort are possible in dish area.
  • Work is conducted in different areas of kitchen that may have high noise levels from machines, conversations, and other background sounds. Frequent interruptions are likely. Must be able to change activities quickly.
  • Ability to count service ware to ensure wait staff has appropriate count.
  • Lift objects weighing 75 pounds with the ability to push, pull or transport material weighing 150 pounds through crowded area.
  • Must be able to carry objects weighing 50 pounds for short distances.
  • Ability to remain calm under stress.
  • Prior stewarding experience required.
  • Must be able to operate large catering trucks and pass drivers authorization.

·       Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
