What you will be doing:
- Prepare station-specific food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Monitor product storage, portion sizes, and special items like stocks and sauces.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas to meet Health Department regulations.
- Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and operational.
- Uphold high standards of food production and presentation.
- Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Manage station setup, breakdown, and prep work.
- Follow recipe specifications for all food preparation.
What we are looking for:
- Previous cooking experience required, minimum of 3 years in a similar position preferred, Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use all kitchen equipment, i.e., knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull weights up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods, work in a confined space with high levels of noise and frequent interruptions, and perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
- Ability to obtain any local, state or federal license or certification for sanitation, liquor service, or food service certification.
- Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
