Mason Street Grill Server

As a Sever at Mason Street you will be responsible for tailoring each experience to the guests, providing food and beverage services in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in a superior level of guest satisfaction.
Mason Street Grill in downtown Milwaukee has become a local favorite for delicious steak, hand-crafted cocktails, and jazz music. Whether it's the upbeat aromas, the background sounds of live music, or the taste of a refreshing cocktail after a long day at work, we want to make sure that our guests' time spent with us will bring them back again and again.
What you will be doing:
- Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.
- Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system, upselling with each opportunity.
- Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.
- Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
- Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments.
- Work as a team player and assist co-workers as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
What we are looking for:
- Prior serving, food and beverage, restaurant, or hospitality experience is required.
- Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
- Innate desire to serve and ability to maintain service and departmental standards.
- Basic knowledge of food & beverage preparation, service standards, table settings, guest relations, and etiquette.
- Proficient in English for menu comprehension, recording orders, and guest communication.
- Ability to recall and promote menu items.
- Transport trays up to 30 lbs. through crowded spaces.
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor and clean uniform.
