Engineer III

PURPOSE OF POSITION:         To repair and maintain hotel equipment and building systems to provide a safe and comfortable environment for guests and employees.  Answer guest complaints and communicate with guests and associates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·                General Maintenance of outside property (landscaping, snow shoveling, cutting grass, inspections, light fixtures, flags, repair as needed.)

·                Daily inspections of interior (light fixtures, carpeting, general maintenance, and repairs as needed.)

·                Daily inspections of swimming pool area (pumps, temperature, chemicals, and cleanliness)

·                Maintenance requests: Prioritize requests and repairs items as needed, this item encompasses entire property.

·                Answer radio/emergency calls promptly.

·                Fire Alarms: inspect regularly, respond to all alarms when on property to determine cause, act accordingly.

·                Communicate effectively with other associates, guests and vendors.

·                Safe and careful use of equipment.

·                Appropriate use of materials and equipment to avoid waste, and unnecessary repairs.

·                Maintain safe work environment.

·                Other Duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

·                 Previous experience with general repair preferred

·                 Ability to use all general repair tools

·                 Ability to use ladders and lift heavy items

·                 Ability to read simple drawings and specifications Must be able to perform basic math

·                 High School education or equivalent.

·                 Must be able to clearly communicate in English
