Purchasing Manager
Marcus Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join our Procurement team. Reporting to the Vice President of Procurement, this opportunity plays a critical role in managing supplier relationships, reviewing contracts, and ensuring cost efficiency across all Marcus Hotels & Resorts properties. This position partners closely with operational leadership to maintain compliance, optimize purchasing programs, and provide training on the BirchStreet Procure-to-Pay system.

What you will be doing:
- Organize and process purchasing information for corporate specifications and contract negotiations.
- Monitor compliance between vendors and Marcus Hotels & Resorts on agreed programs/contracts.
- Maintain a comprehensive system for allocating and reconciling purchase orders.
- Manage supplier relationships and report on performance.
- Organize and maintain contracts and agreements for all negotiated deals.
- Assist in preparing RFPs for vendor categories not yet under contract.
- Compile and organize quotes; assist with awarding, executing, and rolling out new purchasing programs.
- Prepare accurate and timely month-end account reports.
- Obtain competitive quotations for hotel requirements, ensuring best product sourcing and use of Group Nominated suppliers where applicable.
- BirchStreet System Management:
- Manage BirchStreet MSA/PLA agreements and oversee property implementations and ongoing maintenance/standardization.
- Provide weekly training sessions, including user utilization basics, recipe cost module, inventory module, and ProfitSword budgeting integration.
- Monitor property support logs and conduct office hours for troubleshooting and guidance.
- Maintain monthly property confirming PO dashboards and perform cleanup of confirming/non-confirming POs.
- Conduct quarterly BirchStreet program evaluations for potential new initiatives.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferred and 2–3 years of experience with a multi-unit hotel/hospitality provider.
- Previous experience in purchasing/procurement.
- Strong financial knowledge and ability to work with budgets.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and general computer literacy.
- Experience with BirchStreet Procure-to-Pay system strongly preferred, including property implementations, maintenance, and user training.
- Familiarity with inventory management, recipe costing, and budgeting modules (ProfitSword integration a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.
- Accountable, resilient, and able to work professionally in a collaborative office setting.
- Willingness to travel as needed; must be able to work out of our corporate office 5 days a week.

Salary Estimate: $80,000 - $100,000/year
