Upper Bar - Bar Back (Part-Time)
POSITION PURPOSE: Stock, prep, and keep the bar stocked before and during service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Prepare perishable garnishes, fruits, and juices according to business levels.
· Assist in maintaining adequate supplies for the bar and bartenders.
· Retrieve and verify orders from storeroom for accuracy.
· Store products properly and in designated areas.
· Ensure cleanliness and compliance with health standards in bar areas.
· Scoop and transport ice to service areas.
· Wash dishes and redistribute to appropriate areas as needed.
· Assist with additional duties as requested by management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be knowledgeable in preparation of alcoholic beverages including adhering to all State, Federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
· Basic mathematical skills necessary to ensure proper delivery amounts, understand portion sizes, and assist with inventory.
· Sufficient manual dexterity of hands and arms in order to use a knife, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, tap kegs, and extend arms overhead to stock items.
· Ability to comprehend and communicate in English in order to provide service as requested by bartenders, managers and guests.
· Ability to read and comprehend safe-handling instructions of products and equipment.
· Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push goods on hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200 lbs.
